You can prepare the start list for all events and all groups of an event by using the Seed option.

To add more groups to the event, you can either (i) do it under Schedule or (ii) add the correct number of groups under Seeding (after adding athletes to Start lists).

1. Add all athletes to the start list. For more information, see the Create start lists guide.

2. Click on the Seed button in the upper right corner of the start list.

3. Select all the parameters you need for your seeding and click the Seed button. You can always manually change the groups by using drag and drop to assign/change participants to the groups.

Lanes

  • Select the relevant lanes for all groups under the summary
  • Select the relevant lanes per group if needed

4. For sprint events, lanes are assigned automatically based on an athlete's position in the group's start list.

5. If an event includes several races/groups, you can change the order of the groups by clicking on the Reorder groups button (located on the lower left-hand side of the screen, underneath the Seed button) and selecting the desired method (randomise, reverse).

6. If an event includes several stages, you can set advancement rules by clicking the Advancement button (for more information, see the Qualifying rounds guide).

Please note: For track events with more than one runner per lane (e.g., 800m), select Two athletes per lane from the Stacking list and set which lanes have two runners.

Please note: by making changes to seeding in events with results, you will clear or change (if auto-calculating places is enabled) place assignments.

Please note for field events: by moving an athlete with a result from one group to another in a field event, you will remove all attempts of the affected athlete.
