RosterAgent is a small application that connects the browser-based Roster Athletics platform with compatible timing systems during a competition. It enables event data and start lists to be pushed from Roster to the timing system, and results to be pulled back into Roster and the Roster app in real time.


Currently supported timing systems: Eagle Eye Pro, FinishLynx, and TimeTronics (MacFinish and Argus).


Supported languages: English (US and UK), Danish, French, German, Greek, Polish, Spanish, and Swedish.


Important: Administrator privileges required. Before installing, make sure you have administrator rights on the computer. You may need to approve the installer through your firewall or antivirus software, and allow the program to make changes to your device.

1. Download


Download the appropriate package for your operating system:


Note: macOS is not supported. RosterAgent runs on Windows and Linux only. See the macOS section below for details.



2. Installation — Windows


Uninstall any previous version


If you have RosterAgent version 1.0.13 or earlier installed, you must uninstall it before proceeding. From version 1.0.14 onward, the installer upgrades automatically, so no manual uninstall is needed.

  1. Open Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features.
  2. Under Uninstall or change a program, select any existing RosterAgent entry and click Uninstall.


Run the installer

  1. Open the downloaded .msi file.
  2. If prompted by your firewall or antivirus software, approve the installer and allow it to run.
  3. Allow the program to make changes to your device when prompted by Windows.


Note: There is no confirmation message when installation completes. To verify the installation succeeded, open the Start menu and search for RosterAgent — it should appear under the RosterAthletics folder. A shortcut should also be on your Desktop.



3. Installation — Linux


Install the downloaded .deb package using your package manager. For Debian/Ubuntu-based systems, run:


sudo dpkg -i rosteragent_2.2.0-1_amd64.deb


Note: Linux installation is for advanced users. Full GUI support and automatic startup behaviour may vary by distribution.



4. macOS — Not Supported


RosterAgent for macOS has been discontinued. Because FinishLynx and TimeTronics only run on Windows, ongoing development is focused on Windows (and Linux).
